Can’t make the race? You can still support CPCC students. Funds raised through this event are critical to the success of so many students and help remove barriers they face in pursuit of achieving a quality education. Your support is instrumental in helping students reach their education and career goals.
CPCC has been a part of the Charlotte landscape for over 50 years. It has more than six campuses located throughout Mecklenburg County. As a Learning College, CPCC seeks to create environments that generate positive, nurturing and learning-focused experiences for students in the classroom. By placing learning first, students become a full partner in the learning process, assuming primary responsibility for their academic career and future success.
All proceeds from the CPCC Skyline Run support CPCC student scholarships and other student needs.
Your Support Matters
Jose Cruz always had an interest in cars and knew he wanted to someday become a technician. His next step was choosing education to match his goals. “I chose Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) because you can interact one-on-one with an instructor,” he said. “All the instructors here want to see their students graduate and succeed in life. It was also convenient and affordable to become certified in a short amount of time.”
While enrolled, Jose received the Merancas Technical Careers Scholarship and the Driving Young America Scholarship. He was also one of 13 students selected to participate in the first-ever Tesla START program, a 12-week automotive technician training program designed to provide students with the skills necessary for job placement as service technicians at Tesla Service Centers across North America. He graduated in April with a guaranteed job offer.
